If you have a couple of hours to spend visiting the citadel, definitely contact Cristian. The quality of the tour was amazing, he captivated us with really interesting historical and cultural facts about the citadel. He knows how to deliver the information without it feeling too much or being boring and the tour with him is worth every penny. Overall an experience that anyone who visits Alba Iulia should have.

Alba Iulia is a place filled with history and culture, in addition to be a huge fortified area. Some part of the citadel has been restored but more than half of it are clised for access , probably waiting for restauration.

First of all I have to say myself I'm a guide. Sometimes I do tours in Transylvania and I include Alba Iulia on my tours. I used Cristian a couple of times as a local guide for Alba Iulia and I have to admit I was delighted by the way he is doing his job (I also learned some stuff from his way of guiding). He knows a lot about the city, speaks good English, he's smart and, probably most important, he likes his job. I always recommend him to those who want to visit Alba Iulia.

Ghid Alba Iulia is a day tour company run by Cristian. The tour was private and last about two hours. Cristian had great English and knows an immense amount about the Alba Iulia citadel. We had a wonderful private tour with him!
